Let them eat cake

Yesterday I made a cake with wee one.

I have had one small slice!

This is how much cake is left today.



Do you think I should make cakes more or less often?
And yes it is a bit of a whacky Alice in Wonderlandesque coloured cake. Dusty pink sponge and violet buttercream icing. Well why not? :D

Hellloooooo

Man it's getting chilly. I think this winter is going to be a long one. The smalls, well mostly big one to be fair, have been asking when the heating is going on and I've told them not until we get back from our holiday at the end of October. Not a popular answer. LOL

Right I have some lovely pictures of the lovely goodies I recieved from a certain lovely lady called Em over at Garden Peas and Fleas.

I was feeling a bit poorly sick when it arrived so it was a proper little pick me up opening it all up in my sick bed.

There is lots and lots of pictures as Em spoilt me - thank you so much Em.

The box is a pretty colour.

I am still here

It's been a quiet over here at Ratbagville, well the blog anyway, lately.
I've had a few health issues since I got back from my Wales trip, the wonderful old gall bladder has been kicking off big time and I seem to be falling for just about every bug going.

Thank you all for your comments on my timed posts while I was away.

Big one did brilliantly in her exams - I am so proud of her but I have been banned from speaking about it anymore. Apparently I was too proud and telling too many people, so I'll just whisper that she got top marks in everything and leave it at that. ;)

What with coming home to a location I really don't want to be anymore and then getting poorly I've hit a bit of a wall of the poor me variety. But bear with me and normal service will be back on a screen near you soon. Oh and I have a box of lovely things to share with you all that I won from Em on her giveaway

When wee one was seven she was mad on Doctor Who and with David Tennant as the Doctor you have to commend her taste really. :)

So for her seventh birthday she asked me for a Tardis birthday cake so I did my best, unfortunately the blue just wouldn't go dark enough but I have since learnt about food colouring pastes and they work much better than the drippy kinds to be honest.

We all had blue fingers and lips from eating the cake but we also had one very happy seven year old on her birthday and that's all that matters really isn't it.

I was so surprised when I was contacted by the site and told it was being featured with all those other amazing cakes.

Results day

Today in Zante big one will be receiving a message informing her of her exam results.
