How to tell your husband wants to make you happy

he takes you to Ikea. Ok that probably doesn't sound very exciting to a lot of you city girls but if I tell you the last time I set foot in an Ikea was 2006 and before that was sometime around 2002 then you'll understand how I get a bit giddy.
I was actually amazing restrained for someone who doesn't get her fix very often. We did invest in some lovely new glass plates and big one and I bought a metre of some lovely bird fabric. Yes of course there were some other bits and bobs that found their way into my trolley but that darn marketplace is just too tempting.

I'm busy busy finishing off my Spring/Easter Swap things for my lovely partner MadMummy and then we're off for a visit to the family down in Wales next week. Plus of course I still have work, the smalls are off school and I'm still practically jumping on the postman every morning to see if there is any news yet about the job I went for over 2 weeks ago!

I realise that I didn't put a cut off date for my giveaway so I will now. As I said I'll be away so I will draw the giveaway on Monday 20th April. I will include your name for every comment you have left me from the original giveaway post till the 20th.

I love going to Ikea, apart from the end bit of queuing or finding out they don't have what you want!! but great for little bits and fabrics.

I visited the Ikea in Bristol and I was stunned.... if I ever get back there I am making sure the boot is empty!
We bought 2 stools for the breakfast bar and some other kitchen bits and bobs, but now I am in full making mode I think it would get a much bigger hammering this time...

I notice a little link at the bottom of this page, how sweet! thank you!

Have a fab Easter in Wales and say hi to everyone from the country bumpkin in Somerset!

My OH hates the place and the journey there so I also never get to go.
We had our first visit there together a couple of months ago (and that was only because we wanted to get Jack something for his birthday) and I know there won't be another visit for a long time to come yet.
I'll tell him about your hubby and he might feel guilty and take me then 'hehe'. Mind you I don't know if I want him too, our one and only visit together ended in arguments.
My fingers are still crossed for your job.
Have a great Easter.
Big hugs

I haven't been to Ikea since 2002 or 2003! My hubby obviously doesn't care about my happiness enough ;)

Good luck finishing the easter swap goodies!

Ha! I had to get on a plane for half an hour to get to my nearest Ikea (Athens)
Luckily it's right by the airport and the airport is nowhere near Athens...........
Then get a sofa shipped back to Crete..all in all a very expensive day out. You'd understand if you sat on a typical Cretan sofa...
I nearly missed the giveaway, I'm a large!!!

I'm with Lissylou, I LOVE Ikea and am often there, we even went for breakfast on Sunday (93p for a full breakfast with free range eggs!), ended up coming home with lots of fabric and 4 garden chairs :) Happy me!
If anyone ever needs anything from there let me know...

ooooo I love IKEA, I challenge anyone to go in and not buy anything at all, I always end up with bud vases and all kinds of kitchen implements I never knew I needed:)

Right, how bloody sad is this??? I only get allowed out to Ikea once in a century..... but boy, is it worth it??? Sooooo seductive!!! How can they do this stuff at such prices?? BUT, when we went they did a free 'Ikea' promotional DVD: and yes, you know those nights when there's nothing on the box....... WE WATCHED IT! WE DAMNED WELL WATCHED IT! and it was equally as seductive as the store....

At this rate, we'll be playing "I spy with my little eye" on a Saturday evening! Ha! Ha! x

How strange you mentioned Ikea, I went last week for the first time in about 3 years and I was sooo excited. Since I was last in this particular store they have opened it up upstairs and the entrance is in a different place. I am after a pine bench style butchers block but the one I want isnt in stock so I will just have to go back again and buy some more useless things (Mr Kitten rolls his eyes!!!) X
